The Buckhorn District Snowmobile Club has a staging area at the BDSC Clubhouse in Buckhorn and we maintain two parking areas to the north, along Peterborough County Road 507. Parking Lot One is just off CR507, on the Forest Access Road approximately 8.9 km north of the intersection of County Roads 36 and 507. Parking Lot 2 is on CR507 approximately 11 km north of Parking Lot 1. Some additional parking is available at Flynn’s Store at the intersection of CR36 and 507. All parking areas have direct access to the trails.
The BDSC motto is “Enjoy Your Ride!” To that end, we also maintain and supply eight privy toilets in various areas our trail system. Two are located at the BDSC Clubhouse, one at Parking Lot 1 and five others at trail junction points. To aid in navigation to those junction points, OFSC District 2 Trail Maps (showing all BDSC trails and those of the other clubs in OFSC District 2), are available in map boxes on sign/map boards in each parking area and at other entry points and major junctions.
Before you set out to “Enjoy Your Ride!”, always check the OFSC Interactive Trail Guide (ofsc.evtrails.com) for route planning and most importantly, to check the availability status of trails. Better still, download the OFSC Go Snowmobiling app to your smart phone and have access to trail status and a wealth of other information with you as you ride!
